Capital Chef
The Capital Chef had been talking about sharing her food recipies for a couple of years now, and finally her husband convinced her to make it her 2010 New Year's Resolution. How would you describe her cooking stlye? "Both of my parents are from Spain, so of course, I love Spanish cuisine----I’ll take a plate of paella over an all-American hamburger any day. I grew up in the South, so when entertaining, I tend to be drawn to recipes that include butter, cheese, and bacon. And of course, to balance out the butter, bacon, and chorizo, I try my best to throw some healthy recipes into the mix." According to my mother, “all you have to do to be a good cook is to love it.” Check out more of her delicious meals here.

Sweet Merciful Crap and Other Things
A friend of mine told me to write a blog..apparently she thinks I'm funny! .... but then she DARED me and said 'YOU'LL NEVER DO IT!" I am an old wife with tales to tell about my Prince Charming, our 2 teenagers and the menagerie of pets which have taken over our home. I have survived the infant years and pray, I survive the teens....I am a lover and more importantly, a fighter! Up until a month ago, I was in remission. However, IT has returned, not the greatest news, in fact it's a real friggin' nuisance but, much like an irritating relative coming to visit, I intend to endure whatever necessary to get through and then party like hell when it's gone. Blogging is my sedative...I believe laughter is the best medicine!! I’m on Twitter and FB too so please drop me a note, you can never have enough friends! sweetmercifulcrapandotherthings.blogspot.com

Happy.Healthy.Homemade.
My name is Rachel. I’m a stay-at-home mom. My husband’s name is Tim. He’s a gold miner. We’ve coming up on seven years of marriage this November. We’ve got two kids- Hailey is four and a half and Keegan is two and a half. We live in a very small, rural town in Northern Nevada. (That would be the part of Nevada that is not Vegas.) We try to live as natural a lifestyle as possible, given the limited resources we have for doing so in such a small, rural area. We try to eat mostly organic foods; we are not perfect at it.  We try to make everything from scratch; we are not perfect at it. We do the best we can. And above all else, we enjoy life and each other and our friends and family. We just bought a house with a half an acre of land and we’re working on making it our dream house with our dream yard. I really, really like my life. Read more at happyhealthyhomemade.com.

Rad Dad
I started out as a child, and I never grew up. I was a geek, long before it became fashionable to declare one’s geekness to the masses. My diet consisted of heavy doses of Star Wars, action figures, and comic books (with a serious ninja faze for good measure). Fast forward a few years, (okay, more than a few) I am the father of two awesome kids, Mason (7), and Madison (4). The heirs to the throne of my geekdom. I am a Rad Dad, and my mission is to make each day the best day ever for my kids. To provide them with all of the knowledge they need about Star Wars (and why the prequels suck). To explain to them how Batman is way cooler than Superman. And to give them all of the tools they need as children of the 21st century. Read more at raddad.tumblr.com

New Yok Dad
If you haven’t guessed already – I live in New York. I am the father of a beautiful, charming, witty and sharp boy (I’m not just saying that!), the husband of a beautiful, charming, sometimes nagging (she denies it…), sophisticated Italian wife. I myself am a bit of a mutt – American father and Italian mother. Perfectly bi-lingual and often travelling between my beloved New York and Rome. I also hang out in my virtual den where all are welcome to briefly escape from the realities of parenting over at The Dapper Dad. I am a gadget freak, fountain pen collector, stationary obsessed, wristwatch lover, coffee and chocolate gourmet… and yes I do like buying the best baby and kid products out there. I am a marketers dream! Ironically, that’s exactly my line of work. Read more at newyorkdadblog.com.

New Day New Lesson
My name is Susie. I am happily married and a mother of 5 children ages 3-19. I was born in New York and I moved to Israel almost 20 years ago with at the time 1  1/2 kids. I work part time as an ER nurse and full-time as a mother and wife and all the jobs that go along with that. Some would say I am going through a mid life crisis seeing as I just turned 40 last month. I think I finally am putting more thought into what I was meant to do with my life and more energy into planning my future. In the meantime, this blog is my way to start trying to make a difference. I hope you enjoy it. Thanks for reading. Read more at newdaynewlesson.com.
