Fairy Rings, Puffballs and Smurfs - Fabulous Fungus

August 25, 2010

Witch's Butter (C) Fred Stevens I’ve always been a little bit mystified by mushrooms. From Alice’s eat-me-drink-me adventures in Wonderland to the Smurf’s one of a kind lodgings, we live in a culture that has adopted mushrooms as a symbol of enchantment and mystery—and why not? It’s sometimes hard for me to believe that these beautiful organisms are a fungus! Read the rest at placernaturecenter.blogspot.com...

Your Friends’ Mistakes Are Yours To Learn From

August 25, 2010

Like for many of my posts my deep thoughts come from simple things. I think learning from other peoples’ experiences is really wise. I believe we are exposed to things in our own lives and in our friends’ lives for a reason. It helps us learn about ourselves and grow. Especially fulfilling is when you see an almost immediate result to your “learning”. The other day I happened to be on Facebook. Read the rest at New Day New Lesson...

The Key To Twitter Success by Guest Blogger @2morrowKnight

August 25, 2010

For some time, people have shared their thoughts on what it takes to build a great reputation on Twitter and thrive on the site. For me, only one thing has worked: how I engage people. As J.D. Andrews once said, “Twitter is not just about posting, it’s about participation.” This is true. It’s all about engagement. If you see that some one is from a particular city, recommend some tweeps that person can get to know. If you see someone trying to improve their tweeting experience, recommend some great twitter apps and tools. Read the rest at Rachel in the OC...

Making Time for Us

August 25, 2010

Nolie here guest posting for you all today since Cass decided she needed a vacation. Really she just wanted to spend more time with her MIL instead of us. Usually Cass introduces you to the guest poster, links to their site and says something only slightly amusing about the person. However I guess I am not worthy of her snarky comments because I sit here in her dashboard posting all on my own. So in the famous words of Cass “Make sure you show me some comment love and check out my blog Nolie’s Place.” Read the rest at BigMamaCass...

Lets talk communication

August 25, 2010

Todays guest post is from LCW over at Waking Up Williams. She is a green Mamma, has some awesome recipes and her husband is hilarious. Check her out! There a little something I'd like to talk about, it's called communication. But specifically communication between a mother and father and/or husband wife. How many times have you assumed the other person knew what you were talking about or thinking? Yeah, countless. And how many times was the assumption right? Yeah. Probably zero. In our home, you have to ask for exactly what you want or need, or it ain't happening. Read more by Tie a Little Ribbon...

Hey, you!.... Wanna get into bed with me? ;)

August 25, 2010

I spent a lot of time just sitting today, eating bon bons doing, well, nothing frankly... It has been torrentially pouring on and off for two days now and a combination of allergies and a cold has crippled me with the queen of all headaches (me being Queen Momma and all); My ears are clogged, creating a deep humming noise, much like when I stick my fingers in them and... well... ummm..... hum...Read the rest from Sweet Merciful Crap and Other Things…

Who are you? What makes you — you?

August 25, 2010

Are we sums of the parts of our lives? Are we the jobs we take on to earn a living? Are we our children? I love to think that i can fix myself by making my child better, and I wish that was true and I know my last post touched on lifestyle and money and really that’s not what this is about either. It’s really about what defines us. For a better part of my life I’ve wanted to give back; work for NGOs, nonprofits, find a balance of peace inside my brain that has been programmed to always think money. Everything I’ve learned since I was a child was to push myself for success. Read the rest by DaDa Rocks!...
